Thomas Charvet

Thomas Charvet currently serves as Adjoint auprès de la Sous directrice chargée du Réseau and is responsible for the Preparation of the JOP 2024 at the Direction générale des douanes et droits indirects (DGDDI) since April 2023. Prior to this role, Thomas worked as a Customs Counsellor at the Représentation Permanente de la France auprès de l'Union Européenne from July 2017 to April 2023 and held the position of Chargé de mission auprès de la directrice générale at DGDDI between July 2016 and June 2017. Previous experience includes serving as Rapporteur extérieur at the Cour des comptes and multiple roles at DGDDI from April 2009 to June 2016, notably as Chef du Bureau des affaires juridiques et contentieuses. Thomas also worked at the Ministère de la Défense / ONACVG from November 2001 to October 2005. Academic qualifications include studies at ENA, IGPDE, and Sciences Po, along with degrees in History and Geography from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
