Helene Engen

Helene Engen is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in crisis management and strategic communication. Currently serving as a Seniorrådgiver at the Direktoratet for samfunnssikkerhet og beredskap (DSB), Helene focuses on preparedness, crisis handling, and communications advisory. Prior roles include Senior kommunikasjonsrådgiver at the Direktoratet for nødkommunikasjon, where strategic and operational communication work was conducted in relation to political environments and emergency response actors. Helene also held positions at Human-Etisk Forbund, where a communication department was established and led, and at Sparebankforeningen, where significant improvements in communication flow and visibility were achieved. Helene holds a Cand.polit. degree in Sociology with a specialization in technology sociology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and has completed additional studies at BI Norwegian Business School.
