Ashley Volion

Ashley Volion is an experienced Policy Analyst at Disability Rights Louisiana since February 2015 and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago, contributing to the "Locked in State" project focused on Medicaid programs and their impact on individuals with disabilities. Previous roles include Adjunct Professor of Sociology at Texas A&M University Central Texas, Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Hazards, Assessment, Response and Technology, and Graduate Assistant at the University of New Orleans Women's Center. Ashley holds a Ph.D. in Disability Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago, and both a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of New Orleans.
