Marios Athanasiou is a Law Clerk at Disability Rights New Jersey since January 2023, with a focus on public interest law, housing, and labor law developed during law studies at Rutgers Law School from 2018 to 2021. Marios has gained extensive legal experience through internships at Disability Rights New Jersey, where legal memos and virtual monitoring visits were conducted, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, assisting with civil rights investigations, and Rutgers Law Associates, performing intake interviews and legal research in family law and housing. Previous roles include Systems Administrator at YokeyPokey Virtual Reality and various fellowships with organizations such as the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation and New Jersey State Senate Majority Office, along with leadership as President of New Jersey United Students, where Marios was instrumental in passing the NJDREAM Act. Marios holds a Doctor of Law degree and a double major in Planning and Public Policy and Political Science from Rutgers University.
