Steven Williams has a wide range of work experience. Steven began their career in 2010 as a Marketing Intern at Wine from the Moon, a boutique music management and marketing firm. In 2011, they took on the role of Public Relations Intern at the Center for Neighborhood Technology, a nationally recognized non-profit think tank. In 2012, they worked as a Marketing Intern at RPM Visual Media, where they developed an investor proposal package utilizing Photoshop and InDesign. In 2013, they became an Account Representative at Groupon, where they booked and managed more than $550K in annual revenue. In 2014, they took on the role of Senior Digital Marketing Manager at Blue Magnet Interactive, where they managed digital marketing strategy for nearly 100 partners in the hospitality industry. Finally, in 2018, they joined Discogs as a Senior Marketing Manager, where they oversaw a team responsible for marketing analytics implementation, advertising, search optimization, email messaging, and data analysis. Steven also managed brand advertising across social, search, and shopping (PLA) ads and worked with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure SEO and web analytics best practices were implemented. Additionally, they were the primary stakeholder for company-wide search engine optimization, built and maintained a backlog of SEO projects, oversaw A/B testing, outlined search-friendly development in all new projects, and advocated for search performance as an important priority. Steven also created and managed paid search and social campaigns.
Steven Williams received their Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Loyola University Chicago between 2008 and 2012. Steven then obtained two certifications from Google in December 2020: the Google Ads Search Certification and the Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ).
