Ken Soong

Ken Soong is a seasoned data science leader currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Discord since March 2022, overseeing teams focused on Revenue, Gaming, and Platform. Prior to this role, Ken held various positions at LinkedIn from December 2014 to February 2022, culminating as Senior Manager of Data Science, where leadership of a 40-member team addressed critical growth initiatives and market strategies. Ken's earlier experience includes research at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and a fellowship at Insight Data Science, where the development of a web application for customized travel itineraries was achieved. Ken holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University and dual bachelor's degrees in Mathematics (Cum Laude) and Physics (Summa Cum Laude) from Cornell University.
