Wendy Shotts

Wendy Shotts is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product management, marketing, and strategy within the financial services sector and higher education. Currently serving as Director of Acquisition at Discover Financial Services, Wendy drives new account growth through innovative capabilities and strategies. Previous roles include Senior Manager of Business Strategy at Discover Global Network and Principal/Product Manager for Digital Marketing at Discover Financial Services, where Wendy led enhancements to the digital marketing technical stack. As an Adjunct Professor at Lake Forest College, Wendy taught digital marketing and design thinking, bridging theory with practical applications for students. With a strong foundation in entrepreneurship, marketing, and product management, Wendy has successfully contributed to organizations such as Hallmark Cards and Browndeck Software, while also running own business, Beacon Ventures. Wendy holds an MBA from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, a Master's degree in Education from Emporia State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
