Tina Hernandez

Tina Hernandez has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tina began their career as a Medical Assistant at Urology Associates, INC in 1991, where they gained experience in various clinical tasks and administrative duties. Tina then worked as an Account Receivable/Receptionist at Karl K Boatman, MD, where they handled billing and scheduling responsibilities.

In 1996, Hernandez joined Oklahoma City Gyn/OB as a Medical Assistant, where they received training in prenatal care and assisted doctors in various clinical tasks. Tina then worked at Partners In Women's Health as a Medical Assistant, gaining further experience in patient care.

Hernandez transitioned into the field of software training and development in 2000 when they joined Sage as a Trainer. Tina played a key role in instructing clients on the use of software systems and developed training curriculum to enhance client satisfaction. Tina gradually took on more managerial roles within the company, becoming the Manager of Technical Training and later the Manager of Learning & Development.

In 2011, Hernandez joined Airamid Health Management as an EHR Project Manager, focused on implementing and rolling out electronic medical record solutions. Tina was responsible for adherence to project plans, training materials development, and employee education.

From 2013 to 2019, Hernandez worked at Covenant Care as a Healthcare Systems Project Manager. Tina oversaw various projects, including EMR implementation, website development, and help desk migration. Tina played a crucial role in maintaining project timelines and creating training materials.

From 2019 to 2021, Hernandez worked at Illuminate Education, Inc. Initially serving as an IT PMO Manager, they later took on the role of Senior Information Technology Manager. In this position, they led an IT team of 10 people and established a governance framework. Hernandez focused on improving financial systems and data governance strategies.

Currently, Tina Hernandez is the Director of the Project Management Office at Discovery Behavioral Health, a position they have held since 2022.

Tina Hernandez earned a BS in Family Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1985 to 1991. Tina completed their high school education at Westside High School, earning a diploma in General Education from 1981 to 1985. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Certified HIPAA Professional from ecfirst, obtained in November 2022, and as a Certified Cyber Security Architect™ (CCSA™) from ecfirst, obtained in May 2020.
