Roman Solis

Roman Solis is an experienced geologist and mining executive with a robust background in exploration and project management. Currently serving as the Senior VP Mexico at Discovery Silver Corp since January 2018, previous roles include VP Mexico and Country Manager. Prior to this, Roman held the position of Exploration Manager at Timmins Gold Corp/Alio Gold from June 2012 to December 2017. Earlier in the career, Roman was the Mexico Exploration Manager at Mincore Inc., overseeing exploration activities and budgeting for the Tameapa project. Roman's experience also includes serving as Senior Geologist/Project Manager at Resources Geosciences Inc., managing multiple projects across Mexico, Chile, and the United States, and working as an Exploration Geologist at General Minerals Exploration focusing on copper porphyry exploration in Sonora, Mexico. Roman holds a degree with full credits taken towards a Master's in Economic Geology from Universidad de Sonora and a prior degree from Centro de Estudios Superiores del Estado de Sonora.
