Akhil Shah

Akhil Shah is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in the entertainment and technology sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director of Data Science at The Walt Disney Company since March 2021, Akhil has previously held various leadership positions at Hulu, where responsibilities included roles such as Director of Data Science and Principal Data Scientist Lead. Prior to that, Akhil worked at RAND Corporation as a Senior Engineer and at Northrop Grumman as a Member of Technical Staff. Academically, Akhil earned a Ph.D. in Theoretical High Energy Physics from UCLA and also holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Photonics and Optical Communications from UCLA.
