Bertha Maldonado

Bertha Maldonado is a seasoned fashion designer and product developer with extensive experience in the apparel industry. Currently serving as a Creative Product Developer/Designer at The Walt Disney Company since November 2018, Bertha specializes in creative design for fast fashion brands within Disney Consumer Products. As a freelancer since April 2013, Bertha focuses on apparel design and product development, including trend research and collection sketching. Previously, Bertha held positions as a Senior Fashion Designer at Valecuatro, overseeing the complete design process, and as an Apparel Developer/Designer at Pyroprinters, specializing in technical sportswear. Earlier career roles include Production Manager at BG Magazine and Fashion Designer at Buho Industries. Bertha holds a Master’s degree in Fashion Product Management from IED Madrid and a Bachelor's degree in Fashion/Apparel/Textile Design from Universidad del Azuay, complemented by education at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Sorø Akademi.
