Patrick Kneeland

VP, Medical Affairs, Advanced Care at DispatchHealth

Patrick Kneeland is VP of Medical Affairs at DispatchHealth where he leads AdvancedCare – a service line dedicated to bringing hospital level care to patients’ homes. He previously served as the Executive Medical Director for Patient and Provider Experience at UCHealth, a 12-hospital system in Colorado.

Patrick is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado where he is a founding faculty member of the Institute for Healthcare Quality, Safety, and Efficiency. He teaches on the faculty of several national healthcare leadership development programs including the Institute for Healthcare Excellence, the Care Collaboratory, the National Taskforce for Humanity in Healthcare, and the Tulane-Ocshner Leadership Program. He is an expert facilitator, often called on to help teams and organizations tap into their greatest potential.

After completing residency in internal medicine at the University of California – San Francisco, Dr. Kneeland completed a fellowship in Academic Hospital Medicine where he focused on transformation of clinical delivery systems and the role of culture in improving patient safety. He subsequently completed a fellowship through the Institute for Physician Leadership in San Francisco. He is a certified Patient Safety Officer and has executive training from Stanford’s d.school in user-centered design.

In his free time, Dr. Kneeland enjoys time with his family in the mountains, mulling over existential questions with friends, live music, and art.
