Debora M. Slate has extensive experience in the field of dispute resolution and mediation. Debora M. co-founded and served as COO of Dispute Resolution Data (DRD) from 2015, where they played a key role in developing and operating a data aggregator and research service for international commercial mediation and arbitration. In this role, they provided valuable process information for researchers, dispute resolution providers, and interested parties worldwide. Prior to this, from 1995 to 2009, Debora held various roles at the American Arbitration Association, including National Vice President and Regional Vice President. During their time at the AAA, they were responsible for organizational strategy, marketing, and business development of technology services and claims programs. Debora M. also led an ecommerce initiative to develop and provide online conflict management services. Before joining the AAA, Debora was the Executive Director of the South Carolina Council for Mediation, where they founded and grew a statewide NGO providing mediation services and dispute resolution training.
Debora M. Slate obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. Later, from 1998 to 2000, they pursued an MBA from Queens University of Charlotte, specifically from the McColl School of Business.
