Jonathan Jenkins has a diverse work experience spanning over several years and industries. Jonathan began their career as a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, serving in positions such as Air Traffic Controller and Marine Air Ground Task Force Planner. After leaving the military, Jonathan worked as a Senior Software Engineer at CACI International Inc, where they led SharePoint and .NET development projects for the United States Treasury. Jonathan then joined Deloitte as an Agile Coach and Manager, providing expertise in agile methodologies.

Jonathan's next role was as an Agile Architect and Agile Coach at Leidos, where they mentored and coached individuals to build a learning organization focused on agile practices. Jonathan also served as an Adjunct Professor at Villanova University, sharing their knowledge and expertise with students. Following this, Jonathan founded their own company, Optimal Zero Firearms, where they assumed the role of Owner and Founder.

In 2014, Jonathan took on a part-time role as a Meetup Organizer for Agile270, a non-profit organization focused on Agile methodologies. Jonathan continued in this role until 2021.

In recent years, Jonathan has worked as a CEO and Chief Methodologist at disruptiveOps, providing strategic leadership and guidance. Jonathan has also served as a Strategic Advisor at Cyber Capital Partners, specializing in supply chain vulnerabilities.

Most recently, Jonathan has taken on the position of Fractional Chief Technology Officer at Gunkustom. Throughout their career, Jonathan has demonstrated expertise in various fields, including software development, agile methodologies, and strategic advising.

Jonathan Jenkins completed their education at the University of Maryland Global Campus. Jonathan earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Studies, which they pursued from 2007 to 2011. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Information Technology from the same university, completing it from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their academic qualifications, Jonathan also obtained several certifications. Jonathan became a Kanban Management Professional from Kanban University in May 2020. In December 2019, they obtained the SAFe SPC 5 certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Furthermore, in August 2019, they became an ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF) from ICAgile. Jonathan also received certifications in Large Enterprise Scrum (LeSS) Basic from The LeSS Company in June 2018, AgilityHealth Facilitator from Agile Transformation Inc. in October 2017, Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant (SPC) from Scaled Agile Framework in February 2015, Lean Six Sigma: Yellow Belt from Deloitte in December 2014, Scaled Agile Framework Agilist (SA) from Scaled Agile Academy in December 2013, Certified Scrum Professional from Scrum Alliance in November 2013, and Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in March 2012. Prior to their education, Jonathan also served as an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Marine Corps, although specific dates are not available.
