Sangeeta Sharma is an experienced professional in the mental health and community support sectors, currently serving as the 211 Program Manager at Distress Centre Calgary since September 2011. Sangeeta has held various leadership roles, including Team Lead for multiple departments such as the Community Resource Database and Crisis Program. Previous volunteer experience includes positions at the Calgary Counselling Centre and the Palliative Care Unit of the National Cancer Association, where Sangeeta provided psychological assessment and support for terminally ill patients and their families. Earlier career roles included Assistant Teacher/Counsellor at Akansha-NGO and Senior Research Executive at OASES, where Sangeeta managed socio-economic research projects. Sangeeta holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Economics, English, and Hindi from Delhi University and a Master’s and Ph.D. in Psychology from JMI, New Delhi.
