David Courtis has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. David started their career as a Kitchen Staff at McDonald's, where they gained valuable skills in time management and customer service. David then worked as a Barista at Kettle & Seed before transitioning to a Private Tutor, providing tutoring services in multiple subjects.

David's professional career in technology began at Distributive, where they worked as a Software Developer, supporting the development of a web-based protocol for distributed computing and AI systems. David then joined QMIND, an AI undergrad organization, where they held multiple roles. As an AI Software Developer, they conducted cutting-edge research and optimized yield forecasting for maize farmers. David also worked as a Project Manager, overseeing computer vision projects, and as a Blockchain Developer.

During their time at Queen's University, David served as a Research Assistant, focusing on generating accurate API documentation and automating technical debt and bug management. David also worked as a Teaching Assistant for various courses including Data Structures, Cognitive Science, and Intro to CS.

David was also involved in extracurricular activities at Queen's University. David served as a Fullstack Lead Developer at Queen's COMPSA, where they developed and maintained the association's website. David also worked as a Software Developer at Queen's Technology & Media Association, creating personalized product wishlists based on systematic filtering.

Additionally, David gained experience in the public sector as a Software Developer at the Ministry of Government & Consumer Services. In this role, they provided technical expertise for the development and implementation of Oracle management systems, automated testing processes, and improved UI testing solutions.

David Courtis attended Monaro High School from 2013 to 2016. Following that, they attended Canberra Grammar School from 2016 to 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they attended Pickering College. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence at Queen's University, beginning in 2020 and expected to graduate in 2024. In addition to their formal education, in 2015, David received a Grade 8 (Highest Level) with High Distinction certification in Piano from the Australian Music Examinations Board.
