Mohamed Awad Farah

Mohamed Awad Farah is an experienced professional in the filmmaking and media industry, currently serving as the President of the Sudanese Filmmaking Association since July 2012, focusing on the development of the Sudanese filmmaking industry through global networking and internal lobbying. Additionally, Mohamed holds the position of Rights Manager at DistroKid, overseeing Content ID and Rights Advocacy for musicians and record labels. Previously, as Chief Executive Officer of S+ Tv Channel, Mohamed established the first SVOD platform from Sudan, and served in various roles including VPP Distributor at Vuulr and Acquisition Specialist at KMP Network, where efforts were directed towards exporting locally produced films. Early career experiences include content creation at Goalcast Inc., a documentary filmmaker role at Al Jazeera Media Network, and a production executive position at Academix Media Sudan. Mohamed's educational background includes a Global Diplomacy degree from the University of London and a Bachelor of Architecture from Khartoum - College of Technology, alongside various specialized media and filmmaking diplomas.
