Derk Reilink

Derk Reilink has diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Derk is currently working as a Principal Innovation Engineer at Diversey since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Mechanical Innovation Engineer at the same company from August 2018 to February 2023. Derk founded ClickTape in 2014, where they developed and marketed a unique redesign of the traditional tape dispenser. From 2011 to 2018, Derk worked at Air Aroma Group as a Lead Design Engineer, contributing to the development of scent marketing products. Derk co-founded Zokje.nl in 2008, a non-profit organization selling protective phone socks. Derk also had their own Design Studio from 2009 to 2017, where they worked as a designer and founder. Additionally, they worked as an Industrial Designer at Q-tec B.V. in 2008 and had internships in product design at Design + Industry Pty Ltd, Air Aroma Group, and Stevens idé partners BV from 2005 to 2006.

Derk Reilink obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Industrial and Product Design from Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the years 2003 to 2007. Derk then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Design and Engineering at the University of Twente from 2008 to 2011.
