In 2019, they began working for Tecnicas Reunidas and ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) as a Trilingual Document Controller Coordinator. In 2021, they began working for Divitel as a Trilingual Administrative assistant of Databases for the German market. Throughout their career, Mercedes has been responsible for database update and maintenance, documentation management, customer service, flight reservations, and more.

Mercedes Castillo Merino has completed a High Level Course in German Language and Literature at the Instituto Alemán (Goethe Institut Madrid) and a Degree in Hispanic and English Philology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
