Mercedes Castillo Merino has been in the workforce since 1993, when they began working as a Trilingual Customer Service Desk at Madrid Barajas Airport for Medios de RRPP. In 1994, they transitioned to ICTS Targeted Security as a Trilingual Passport and Luggage Control Agent. In 1999, they began working for LAN Airlines as a Trilingual Customer Service Administrative Operator. In 2005, they joined Turkish Airlines as a Trilingual Customer Service Administrative Operator. In 2006, they worked for Sol Meliá as a Trilingual Administrative Agent for Hotel Bookings. In 2007, they worked for IBM as an Administrator of Software Licenses with SAP. In 2008, they began working for Tecnicas Reunidas as an Executive Trilingual Project Secretary, Purchase Administrative and Documentalist. In 2018, they began working for Flowserve Corporation as a Trilingual Oracle Administrative- Assistant for After Market Department. In 2019, they began working for Tecnicas Reunidas and ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) as a Trilingual Document Controller Coordinator. In 2021, they began working for Divitel as a Trilingual Administrative assistant of Databases for the German market. Throughout their career, Mercedes has been responsible for database update and maintenance, documentation management, customer service, flight reservations, and more.

Mercedes Castillo Merino has completed a High Level Course in German Language and Literature at the Instituto Alemán (Goethe Institut Madrid) and a Degree in Hispanic and English Philology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
