Alexander Hutchins

Alexander Hutchins is a Design Engineer at Dixon Valve since March 2022, with prior experience as a Senior Design Project member at Virginia Tech, focusing on the manufacture and characterization of aerogels from polyetheretherketone and polyphenylene sulfide. Alexander contributed as a Powertrain Member at BOLT, collaborating with engineers to design and optimize an electric race bike's powertrain and aerodynamics using AutoCAD Inventor. Additionally, at Unifi Manufacturing, Inc., Alexander conducted performance tests on texturing machines and analyzed cooling system efficiencies. Alexander holds a degree from Virginia Tech, where studies were completed between 2017 and 2021.
