Jaredd V. Franco

Jaredd V. Franco is an experienced STEM educator and community advocate with a focus on computer science education and student mentorship. Currently employed as a STEM Instructor at DIY Girls since August 2022, Jaredd has previously served as a Computer Science Education Fellow and Communications Assistant at 9 Dots, where instruction was provided to 300 K-6th grade students in Title-1 schools. Jaredd's background includes community-engaged research through the UCLA Astin Community Scholars Program and supporting first-generation and low-income students as a UCLA Bruin Advisor. Jaredd's professional path also features roles in digital marketing and customer service, showcasing a commitment to enhancing educational experiences and opportunities for diverse student populations. Education includes a Political Science degree from UCLA and an Associate of Arts degree from Los Angeles Valley College.
