David Safranski

David Safranski is a seasoned expert in materials science and engineering, currently serving as a Research Leader at Enovis since May 2021. With over a decade of experience at the Georgia Institute of Technology, David holds positions as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Research Affiliate, and previously as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on polymers and shape-memory materials. Prior to Enovis, David was the Director of Basic Research at MedShape, Inc. from January 2011 to April 2021, a company acquired by DJO, now Enovis. Additionally, David co-founded Vertera Spine and served as the Director of Research, contributing to the development of the first FDA-cleared porous PEEK spine cage technology. David earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2007 and 2010.
