Jarmila Yu has extensive experience in strategic marketing and consulting as a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Jarmila is the Founder and Managing Director of YUnique Marketing Limited, a strategic marketing consultancy that specializes in helping SMEs with ambitious growth plans optimize their marketing capability. Through their CMO Advantage Programme™, they offer clients a staged approach to strategy, planning, and implementation.

Jarmila Yu's education history starts in 1983 when they attended St Theresa's School until 1988. Jarmila then attended Richmond upon Thames College from 1988 to 1990 before enrolling at Royal Holloway, University of London, where they earned a degree between 1990 and 1994. In 1994, they attended The University of Law, known as the College of Law London at the time, for a year. Jarmila completed their education at Pearson College London from 1995 to 1997, where they obtained a degree from the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Jarmila also studied at the CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing from 1997 to 2001, earning a degree from the CAM Foundation. In 2012, they attended the Institute of Data & Marketing (IDM) for a year.

In addition to their education, Jarmila Yu has obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. In 2013, they became a Fellow of the Institute of Data & Marketing (IDM). The following year, in 2014, they became a Fellow of the CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing. Jarmila obtained the CIM Chartered Marketer FCIM Member status in December 2022. Furthermore, they have acquired several certificates related to sustainable business practices and management training, including the Small Business Sustainability Basics Programme from Small Business Britain and the Sustainability Marketer Certification from The Sustainable Marketer. Jarmila has also completed mentoring and business training programs, such as the ABM Introduction in Business Mentoring from Agile Group and the Help to Grow: Management Training Mentoring Induction from the Association of Business Mentors (ABM). Other certifications they hold include the Enhanced Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) in 2018, 2020, and 2022, and the Planet Mark Certificate of Training Net Zero Carbon Essential Workshop in 2021.
