Kostas Karagkounis

Kostas Karagkounis has a diverse work experience in various roles. From 2016 to the present, they have worked at Emarsys, starting as a Deliverability Manager and progressing to Senior Deliverability Manager, Team Lead Deliverability, and most recently, Deliverability Operations Lead. In these roles, they were responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of emails and managing deliverability operations.

In 2021, they also joined DMA (Data & Marketing Association) UK as a member of the Legal and Deliverability Hub and the DMA Email Council Research Hub.

Prior to their time at Emarsys and DMA, Kostas worked at LMZ Shipping S.A. as an IT Manager from 2002 to 2014. In this role, they managed the IT infrastructure and telecommunications for the fleet and office, designed and improved IT systems, and oversaw complex fleet IT operations.

Kostas Karagkounis obtained a bachelor's degree in Finance, General from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, attending from 1998 to 2002. Kostas then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire in 2005. In 2013, Kostas obtained an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification from TUV Nord.

In addition to their formal education, Kostas has obtained various certifications. Kostas achieved an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification from TUV UK Ltd in 2013. Kostas also earned an ITIL FOUNDATION certification from APMG-International in the same year. Most recently, in October 2021, they obtained a certification titled "Leading and Motivating People with Different Personalities" from LinkedIn.
