Darren Coombe Ceng Miet

Darren Coombe CEng MIET is an experienced engineer and founder currently leading DME Systems Ltd since April 2022. Previously, Darren founded Knight Hydraulic Systems Limited in April 2013 and served as a Director until May 2024, working with clients globally. As Engineering Manager at Soil Machine Dynamics Ltd from February 2019 to August 2021, Darren supervised multiple engineering teams across various disciplines. Prior roles include Senior Project Engineer at DeepOcean, where responsibilities included engineering and technical coordination for the Havila Phoenix vessel project, and Principal Engineer for Hydraulic Systems at Soil Machine Dynamics Ltd, managing the hydraulic design department. Earlier career achievements include serving as Project Engineer/Project Manager at Corus, overseeing large capital projects, and Project Engineer at Bewick Engineering Ltd, focusing on hydraulic systems design and project management. Darren holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northumbria University.
