Jake Wheeles, EIT

Jake Wheeles, EIT has a diverse range of work experience. Jake is currently working as a Project Engineer at DN Tanks, where they coordinate with various teams to develop site plans for construction projects and assists in estimating and budgeting. Prior to this, Jake worked as an Estimating Co-Op at DN Tanks, where they assisted in RFQ submissions and composed site work estimates. Jake also worked as a Porter at Wormwood and as the Concrete Canoe Team Safety Lead at ASCE SDSU. Before that, Jake was an Estimator at JT KRUER & CO INC, where they completed budgets and prepared presentations for bidding and estimating meetings. Additionally, they have experience as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, where they managed a crew and ensured smooth store operations, and as Chairman at Phi Gamma Delta, where they implemented project infrastructure for events. Jake has also worked as a Food Service Worker at Ralphs Grocery Company, preparing food and maintaining sanitation standards, and as a Salesperson at Southwestern Advantage, selling educational products door-to-door.

Jake Wheeles, EIT began their education in 2014 at West Ranch High School where they earned their High School Diploma in 2018 without specifying a field of study. Afterward, they attended San Diego State University from 2018 to 2022. At the university, Jake pursued a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Project Management. In May 2022, they obtained the Engineer In Training certification from NCEES.
