Pretheepan Radhakrishnan

Pretheepan Radhakrishnan has extensive experience in the field of biomedical engineering and medical device development. Pretheepan started their career in 2014 as a Postgraduate researcher at the University of Strathclyde, where they conducted multidisciplinary research across various departments. In this role, they were involved in the Medical Devices and Healthcare Technologies CDT program. Pretheepan also served as a Laboratory Demonstrator during this time.

In 2018, Pretheepan joined Biotangents Ltd as a Biomedical Engineer. Pretheepan worked in this role until January 2022, gaining experience in the development of biotechnology solutions.

In 2022, Pretheepan moved to LumiraDx where they worked as a Development Engineer Level 1. Pretheepan contributed to the company's engineering projects until August 2022.

Currently, Pretheepan is employed as a Senior Engineering Technician at DNA Electronics (DNAe) since May 2023.

Pretheepan Radhakrishnan pursued their education with a strong focus on medical engineering and biomedical sciences. From 2005 to 2008, they attended the University of Cambridge, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences. Continuing their academic journey, from 2010 to 2014, they studied at Queen Mary University of London, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Medical Engineering. Finally, from 2014 to 2021, they enrolled at the University of Strathclyde, where they achieved an EngD degree in Medical Devices. Throughout their educational trajectory, Pretheepan Radhakrishnan demonstrated a keen interest in the intersection of medicine and engineering, establishing a strong academic foundation.
