Ben Busby

Ben Busby is a Principal Scientist at DNAnexus since January 2020 and concurrently holds consulting roles at The Johns Hopkins University and SVAI. An experienced advisor, Ben provided independent data science guidance to Deloitte and consulted for Ariel Precision Medicine until February 2020. Prior to that, Ben worked as a Data Scientist at the National Center for Biotechnology Information from August 2009 to January 2020, contributing significantly to genomic initiatives. Ben's academic tenure includes serving as the Department Chair for Bioinformatics and Data Science at the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences, fostering innovation in education from January 2010 to July 2018. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland Baltimore and an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
