George Psarros

George Psarros is an accomplished Naval Architect and Marine Engineer with extensive experience in risk science, currently employed at DNV since October 2008. Prior experience includes a role as a research assistant at the University of Strathclyde from April 2005 to June 2008 and military service in the Hellenic army as a private in the Corps of Engineers from November 2003 to November 2004. Early career development includes multiple positions as an apprentice engineer on Handysize bulk carriers from 1994 to 1997. George holds an MBA in Shipping & Logistics from Middlesex University, a PhD in Operational Risk Management from the University of Glasgow & Strathclyde, and an MEng in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
