Stephen Parks

Stephen Parks is an experienced academic and professional in the fields of graphic design and visual communications. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Appalachian State University since 2019 and a Teaching Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University for the Department of Graphic Design since 2016, Stephen has a strong background in education. Previous roles include Graduate Teaching Assistant, Web Designer at PPG Architectural Coatings, Audio Visual Technician at Dobil Laboratories, Prepress Designer/Screen Tech at Clockwise Tees, Intern at Full Stop Interactive, and Art Director for Chimera: Student Journal of Literature and Art. Stephen holds a Master’s Degree in Design and Visual Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor's of Fine Art in Graphic Design from PennWest Edinboro.
