Hongzhi Ding has a strong background in engineering and research. Hongzhi started their career as an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg from May 1999 to May 2001. Hongzhi then joined the University of Manchester as a Research Scientist from May 2001 to July 2008. During this time, they focused on research work. In July 2008, they transitioned to a role as a Senior Engineer & Transformer Specialist at Doble Engineering, where they worked until December 2010. Hongzhi then took on the position of Principal Engineer at the same company from January 2011 to the present, showcasing their expertise in the field.
Hongzhi Ding obtained a MSc degree in Physics from Beijing Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1987 to 1990. Hongzhi further pursued a PhD in Engineering with a specialization in Applied Chemistry at the same institute, completing it from 1992 to 1995.
