Roberto Borges has a strong background in engineering, with extensive experience in the power utility industry. Roberto started their career in 2009 at Electricidad de Caracas, where they worked as an Electrical Engineer and managed projects for the adecuacy and expansion of high voltage transmission systems. Roberto was responsible for preparing technical specifications, reviewing designs, and ensuring the coordination and protection of high voltage systems.
In 2010, Roberto joined CORPOELEC as a Project Engineer, where they developed over 150 concept and detail engineering projects for low and medium voltage systems. Roberto'sresponsibilities included calculations and specifications for transformers, wire and cable sizing, protection systems, and electrical parameters.
Since 2016, Roberto has been working at Doble Engineering Company, initially as a Client Services Engineer and later as a Senior Client Services Engineer. In these roles, they have provided technical and application support for Doble test instruments, analyzed test results, provided training and consultation on power apparatus issues, and assisted with R&D and product development. Roberto is currently serving as the Principal Client Service Engineer at the company.
Roberto Borges obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Power Engineering from the Universidad Simón Bolívar between 2002 and 2009. In 2014, they acquired certifications as an Emergency First Response (First Aid) Instructor from Emergency First Response and as an Open Water Scuba Instructor from PADI. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Engineering - MEng in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University, with an unspecified end year.
