Engineering Manager

Who are we?

DocFox was born in South Africa and has expanded into the United States. Over the past few years we’ve built an exciting tool that, in South Africa, is redefining how accountable institutions comply with FICA regulations and, in the US, is streamlining the opening of business accounts at financial institutions.

We have team members based in Joburg, Cape Town, New York, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Houston and Phoenix, with our main offices being in Joburg and Boston.

What you will be doing

• Managing efficient delivery of engineering projects

• Collaboration between the engineering and product teams to assist with scoping and estimations of projects

• Scaling the engineering teams through strategic sourcing to hire top talent

• Mentoring, coaching and up-skilling engineers

• Facilitating career growth of the team

• Conducting performance reviews

• Taking accountability for the delivery of projects

Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of experience managing an engineering team

• Technical background preferably with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering

• Success in hiring great engineering talent

• Experience in performance management and the OKR framework

• Passionate about implementing, measuring and improving processes to optimise delivery

• Is passionate about people and growth
