Nilson Sales

Nilson Sales has a diverse work experience in the fields of machine learning, software development, computer vision, data science, IT support, research, and education.

In 2022, Nilson worked at Docket Brasil as a Machine Learning Engineer.

From April to November 2022, they were a Software Developer at Laboratório de Engenharia e Sistemas - EASY.

Between August 2021 and April 2022, Nilson was a Computer Vision Scholar at Centro de Inovação EDGE, where they focused on object detection and contributed to dataset development.

In 2021, Nilson also worked as a Data Science Collaborator at Omdena France Chapter, leading a team in data collection and cleansing to analyze the impact of lockdowns on air pollution in France.

From October 2018 to September 2019, they interned as an Information Technology Intern at Ministério Público do Trabalho, providing IT support and working with tape library backups.

In 2016, Nilson was a Research Scholar at Centro de Inovação EDGE, involved in a research and development project in the field of Microelectronics.

From 2013 to 2015, they were a Scholar at Universidade Federal de Alagoas, where they taught robotics and programming as part of an extension program.

Nilson Sales completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Universidade Federal de Alagoas from 2015 to 2022. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at the same institution to pursue a Master's degree in Informatics starting in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Nilson Sales has obtained several certifications. Nilson completed the "Agile Foundations" certification from LinkedIn in June 2021, and also acquired the "Deep Learning: Image Recognition" certification from the same platform in the same month and year. Prior to that, in October 2020, they completed the "Applied Machine Learning in Python" certification offered by Coursera. Furthermore, in September 2020, they obtained the "Natural Language Processing with Classification and Vector Spaces" certification from Coursera. Additionally, in August 2020, they acquired the "Applied Plotting, Charting & Data Representation in Python" certification and the "Introduction to Data Science in Python" certification from Coursera. Lastly, in May 2020, Nilson Sales completed the "Foundations of Data Science: K-Means Clustering in Python" certification from Coursera.
