Sarah Woods

Sarah Woods is the Chief Operations Officer at DockYard. Sarah has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources. Sarah started their career at GE Capital in January 2014 as a Senior Human Resources Leader. In this role, they were responsible for the formulation of human resource plans, candidate pipeline process, and staffing and change management plans for the organization. Sarah also consulted with leadership to align performance management, reward recommendations, and annual compensation planning efforts.

In September 2017, Sarah left GE Capital to join DockYard as their Chief People Officer. In this role, they are responsible for all aspects of human resources for the organization. This includes recruiting, onboarding, training, development, benefits, compensation, and employee relations.

Sarah is a strategic thinker and an expert in organizational development. Sarah has a proven track record of successful implementation of initiatives that improve employee satisfaction and retention. Sarah is a strong leader and an effective communicator.

Sarah Woods has a MBA in Management and Organizations from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business. Sarah also has a BA in Communication Studies from University of Iowa. Sarah has a certification from eCornell in HR Analytics and another certification from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR).
