Mike has held various leadership roles in network operations, technical operations consulting, and OSP management. Mike has worked for companies such as DOCOMO PACIFIC, Tilson Technology Management, Baseband Telecom, Bandwidth Options Inc., Broadband Integration Group LLC, PARACOMM LLC, MICROVISION CABLE SYSTEMS LLC, and MCC Ventures/WCI Comm. Mike has expertise in FTTx, Outside Plant, Inside Plant, wireless networks, system construction, design, and broadband headends. Mike is known for their strong technical operations leadership, business development skills, critical analysis, and writing skills. Mike Smith's education history begins in 1986 when they attended Butler University for one year to study Pre-Med. Mike then transferred to the University of Cincinnati in 1987 where they pursued their passion for English and completed their studies in 1990. After a considerable gap in formal education, they resumed their learning journey in 2019 by enrolling in the MBTI Leader Development Training program at Myers-Briggs, which lasted for one year. Following this, in 2020, they pursued further professional development through the FIRO Business Leadership Training program also at Myers-Briggs, which they completed in 2021.
