Jason Ong

Jason Ong has worked in the software engineering industry since 2007. Theirfirst role was as a Web Developer at Skema Connexions in 2007. Jason then worked as a Software Engineer at NextLogic in 2008. In 2009, they co-founded a startup venture, VI8E Interactive Pte Ltd, where they held the role of Senior Software Engineer. During their time there, they championed agile practices, project managed a small team to build a school management system, and lead an agile team in the development of a prototype kiosk solution for 7-Eleven. In 2010, they founded JasoMedia, a consulting business providing ruby development work for startups and enterprises. From 2012 to 2014, they held the role of Senior Software Engineer Team Lead at Boatbound, where they lead a lean team to architect and build consumer apps for product market fit. In 2013, they held the same role at Love With Food. In 2020, they were a Senior Software Engineer at DocSend, and currently holds the same role at Dropbox.

Jason Ong attended National Junior College from 1996 to 1998. Jason then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Nanyang Technological University Singapore from 2000 to 2005.
