Opo Herrera has over 19 years of work experience in the technology industry. From 2001 to 2008, they served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Latin Technologies. During this time, they were responsible for ensuring programmatic excellence, program evaluation, and quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems. Opo also created and maintained the asset management, software whitelist and patch management strategy. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as Head Of Technology at RSD SAS, where they created, deployed and managed IT business Audits based on CoBIT, ValIT, RiskIT, ITIL and CISSP frameworks/best practices. From 2010 to 2013, they were Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at iMagiQ -Samsung Electronics. During this time, they were responsible for all aspects of financial management of budget, forecasting, budget development, account management, and financial performance. Opo also achieved operational excellence through a reliable and efficient application of technology. From 2013 to 2014, they were Technology Instructor at CUNY Bronx Community College. From 2013 to 2018, they served as Director Social Ventures & Innovation at Per Scholas. During this time, they created and executed the customer’s educational strategy based on business goals and technology trends to facilitate skilled workforce. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as Senior Manager - Consulting Digital Strategy-OCM at Cognizant. During this time, they created the RPA/AI global L & D, communications and culture strategy for a multinational bank. Opo also provided technical assistance to the national pre-employment team and Regional Delivery Centers. From 2018 to present, they have been Co-Founder at Docty Inc., one of the first digital healthcare platforms with presence in 4 countries. Opo also currently works as Senior Principal - Global Digital Business Architect at Korn Ferry.
Opo Herrera's education history began with a field of study in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology at Per Scholas from 1999 to 2000. Opo then attended New York Institute of Technology from 2003 to obtain a Network and System Administration/Administrator degree. In 2002, they obtained a CompTIA A+ certification, followed by a CompTIA Network+ certification in 2003. In 2004, they obtained a CompTIA Server+ certification, and in 2005, they obtained a Microsoft MCP and MCSA certification. In 2006, they attended Queens College and obtained a CCNA Instructor Certification in 2007. In 2009, they obtained a CompTIA Green IT certification and in 2013, they obtained a Microsoft MCT certification. Opo also obtained various other certifications from American Management Association, New York State Education Department, CompTIA, Cisco, and C-Tech Systems.
