Ms. Marguerite C. Garrison became the Deputy Inspector General for Administrative Investigations and was appointed to the Senior Executive Service on July 18, 2011.
Prior to accepting this position, Ms. Garrison was a career Army military police officer, retiring in the rank of Colonel. Prior to retirement, Ms. Garrison served as the chief of the initiatives group, reporting directly to the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army. In that position, she identified and coordinated key issues of strategy, policy, future concepts and comprehensive Army information requirements across the Army staff.
In other key assignments, Ms. Garrison served as an adviser to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict on antiterrorism policy; Director for Protection, Chief of Staff, and Deputy Director, Current Operations, Combined Joint Operations Directorate , Multi-National Forces-Iraq; Garrison Commander, Forts McPherson and Gillem, GA; Commander, 5th Military Police Battalion (CID), Kaiserslautern, Germany; and Command Inspector General tours at Headquarters, U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command and the U.S. Total Army Personnel Command, later designated Human Resources Command.
Ms. Garrison earned her B.S. degree from St. Bonaventure University, her M.S. degree in administration from Central Michigan University, and a M.S. degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. She is also a graduate of the 170th session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy.
