Matheus Baldas

Matheus Baldas has a solid work experience in the field of software engineering. Matheus started their career at Radix Engenharia e Software as a Software Engineer, where they developed automation using Azure Functions and .NET Cronjobs, and also refactored an internal application used by all employees.

After that, they joined VTEX as a Frontend Engineer, where they created visually appealing pages using Wordpress, resulting in increased user engagement and decreased bounce rates. Matheus also managed page speed optimization for high-traffic pages, resulting in improved load speed and user retention. Matheus actively participated in scrum meetings, providing valuable insights to the team.

Following their time at VTEX, Matheus worked at Hurb as a Software Engineer. Matheus maintained a large React website with millions of daily users, utilizing modern technologies such as NextJS, Apollo with GraphQL, ContextAPI, and Emotion for styling. Matheus also performed A/B tests using Google Optimize and migrated the website analytics to Mixpanel.

Currently, Matheus holds the position of Senior Frontend Developer at Dog and Pony Studios, starting in 2023.

Matheus Baldas obtained a Bacharelado degree in Sistemas de Informação from Universidade Federal Fluminense, where they studied from 2018 to 2021. In 2018, they also attended IFRJ - Instituto Federal do Rio de Janeiro, where they completed a course in Prototipação Eletrônica com Arduino as part of their Tecnologia em Engenharia de Automação studies. In addition to their formal education, Matheus obtained certifications in Liderança, capacidade de aprender e resiliência (Malala e Karnal) from PUCRS - Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul in August 2021, and in Scrum Foundations from CertiProf in August 2019.
