Simon Festing

Simon Festing is an experienced leader in governance, risk management, and public affairs within various sectors, including healthcare and environmental management. Currently serving as the Head of Governance and Risk at Dogs Trust since June 2023, Simon previously held the role of Operations Director at CIBSE, where internal operational systems were managed for an organization with a turnover exceeding £8 million. As Chief Executive Officer at both the British Healthcare Trades Association and the British Occupational Hygiene Society, Simon successfully navigated significant organizational modernization and leadership stabilization during challenging periods. Additional leadership roles include overseeing policy and public affairs at the British Heart Foundation and serving as Chief Executive in several organizations, demonstrating a consistent commitment to improving structural efficiency and stakeholder engagement. Simon holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a Doctor of Medicine from London Hospital Medical College.
