Markus Maga

Markus Maga has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Markus currently holds the role of Tech Lead - Platform Engineering at Doktor.se since September 2022. Prior to this, they were a DevSecOps Engineer at the same company from January 2022 to September 2022, and a Back End Engineer from October 2021 to December 2021.

Before joining Doktor.se, Markus was a Senior Software Engineer at Skymill in August 2021 and September 2021. Markus also worked as a DevOps Engineer at Bayou AB from August 2021 to September 2021, where they focused on setting up a new infrastructure based on Kubernetes and implementing automation for offsite backups.

Markus has also worked at Jayway as a Senior Software Consultant from January 2017 to July 2021. During this time, they gained experience in various areas of software development consulting. Markus also worked at IKEA Group as a Tech Lead & Backend Developer from April 2020 to June 2021, where they were responsible for building a new global product integrated into the online e-commerce experience.

Before their time at IKEA, Markus held the role of Full Stack DevOps and shared Tech Lead at Gleerups Utbildning from March 2018 to March 2020. In this position, they focused on full stack development for multiple microservices and migrated a custom-built infrastructure to Kubernetes.

Markus has also worked as a Senior Software Developer and Tech Lead at Inter IKEA Group from March 2017 to March 2018. During this time, they built a price estimation web application using React for usage on store kiosks, store websites, and mobile platforms. Markus was responsible for technical communication with the customer and ensuring the team had work to do.

Prior to that, Markus gained experience as a Software Developer at an undisclosed FinTech company, as well as at an undisclosed company. Markus also worked as a Software Developer at Tunstall AB from March 2015 to December 2016, specializing in Android application development and backend components.

Markus Maga began their education at NTI Gymnasiet from 2008 to 2011, where they pursued the Electronics Programme with a focus on Computer and a specialization in Game Development. Following this, they attended the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University from 2011 to 2012, completing a Tekniskt Basår. Afterward, Markus continued their studies at the same university from 2012 to 2015, majoring in Computer Science within the Faculty of Engineering. However, their degree remains unfinished.
