James Thursby

James Thursby serves as the Vice President of Distribution Operations at Dollar General, responsible for key areas including Engineering, Maintenance, Construction, Food Safety, and Process Improvement since April 2022. With a progressive career at Dollar General, James has held various roles including Sr. Director of Supply Chain Industrial Engineering, overseeing productivity improvement initiatives, and Director of Loss Prevention, managing shrink reduction efforts across a vast store network. Prior experience includes operation management roles at OHL, including Director of Operations for Starbucks Distribution, and several positions at UPS, where James focused on operational efficiencies and staffing strategies. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and has pursued further education at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
