Atle Rønjum Vesterkjær's work experience began in 1993 when they were a student at the University of Oslo. In 2000, they began working as a Software Engineer for Dolphin Interconnect Solutions, where they worked on multiprocessing in embedded systems and clusters. In 2009, they began working as a Development Engineer for Curtiss Wright Controls, where they worked on embedded software driver, middleware, application and GUI development in C++ on VxWorks, Windows and Linux. In 2012, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer for Numascale AS, where they were a Software Team Leader and worked on software development in R, C and C++. In 2017, they began working as the CTO for AIA Science, where they built a competitive team and oversaw the technological strategy. In 2018, they returned to Numascale AS as a Project Manager, where they were responsible for a feasibility study for a big American company and debugging software for Numascale's latest nodecontroller UNC5. Finally, in 2022, they began working as a Project Manager for Dolphin Interconnect Solutions.

Atle Rønjum Vesterkjær obtained a Master of Science degree in Physics and Electronics from the University of Oslo (UiO) between 1994 and 2000. In addition, they have two certifications, one in R Programming from Coursera Course Certificates in January 2016 and one in The Data Scientist’s Toolbox from Coursera Course Certificates in October 2015.
