CMC Project Leader at Domain Therapeutics

Alain Priour has worked in various roles in the chemical research and development field since 1998. Alain began their career as an R&D Process Engineer at Pfizer in 1998, followed by a role as a Chemist at Diatos in 2004. In 2005, they became a CMC Project Leader at Novexel, where they were responsible for outsourcing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient manufacturing for preclinical to phase III development. Alain also conceived and developed two processes (two patents) to meet manufacturing viability and target costs of Avibactam (Antibiotic Avicaz™ approved in 2015 in USA, Avicefta™ approved in 2016 in Europe). In 2017, they took on the role of Apchim ENSCRennes Business Unit. In 2021, they were a R&D Project leader for the industrial production of a novel API at Seratec (1 year part time), where they were responsible for process review and development to support Seratec for the industrial production of a generic API (drug shortage according to FDA). Alain'smost recent role is CMC Project Leader at DOMAIN Therapeutics, which they began in 2023.

Alain Priour earned their Ingénieur degree from CPE Lyon in the field of Chimie between 1992 and 1994. Alain then pursued an MSc in Organic Chemistry at the University of Notre Dame with Prof. Marvin Miller, which they completed between 1994 and 1996. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Cambridge with Prof. Steve Ley between 1999 and 2002.
