A.J. Johnson has over 20 years of work experience in the technology industry. They started their career at IT Factory in 2000 as a Software Engineer. In 2003, they joined IBM as a Software Engineer and later held roles as Manager, Senior Software Engineering Manager, and Program Director, focusing on Linux development and storage technologies. In 2014, A.J. Johnson moved to Puppet and served as a Senior Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering, and Senior Director of Engineering, overseeing the development and enhancement of Puppet's enterprise features and capabilities. Currently, they are the VP of Engineering at Domino Data Lab, a role they started in 2022.

A.J. Johnson completed a Master of Science degree at Oregon Health & Science University from 2001 to 2003, with a focus on Databases, Operating Systems, and Object Oriented Programming.
