Prior to their time at Cornell, Scott attended Wake Forest University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Politics & International Affairs. Scott also participated in a semester abroad at Charles University, focusing on History.

Scott gained additional certifications throughout their education and career. In October 2021, they obtained a certification in Python Programming from Cornell University.
