Daniel Buron

Daniel Buron has been Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Domtar since May 2004.

Mr. Buron has management oversight and responsibility for all financial functions, including investor relations, financial reporting, financial risks and debt management, treasury operations, taxation and information technology.

Mr. Buron has been with the company since 1999. He previously held the positions of Vice-President, Finance, Pulp and Paper Sales Division, Vice-President and Controller, as well as other senior positions in Finance. Prior to joining Domtar, he held various finance positions with a firm in the commercialization and development of IT applications, solutions and tools as well as with a major international accounting firm.

Mr. Buron is a chartered professional accountant and holds a Bachelor in Commerce degree from Université Laval. He is a member of the Québec Order of Chartered Professional Accountants.

Mr. Buron currently serves on the Board of Directors of the McGill University Health Center Foundation. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Semafo Inc. and Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc.
