Assistant County Manager at Doña Ana County

Jonathan Macias is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Assistant County Manager for Doña Ana County since July 2021, where responsibilities include the development and implementation of county objectives and the Strategic Plan. Prior to this role, Jonathan worked as a Grants Manager, overseeing $42 million in American Rescue Plan Act funding. From June 2017 to June 2021, Jonathan held the position of Executive Vice President at Incite Consultancy, LLC, successfully securing around $30 million in funding for various local government and nonprofit projects. Jonathan's extensive experience in grant administration at The University of Texas at El Paso spanned over a decade, culminating in roles such as Research Administrator, Grant Program Coordinator, and Grant Administrative Assistant II, showcasing expertise in budget management, compliance, and staff development. Jonathan holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Adams State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from The University of Texas at El Paso.
