Karsten Poulsen

Karsten Poulsen is a seasoned engineer with expertise in development, quality assurance, and research in materials science. Currently serving as a Senior Development Engineer at Donaldson since July 2023, Karsten previously completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University, where research focused on nanoparticle protein interactions and machine learning applications. Prior experience includes roles as a Quality Engineer at Kluge Design, Inc., a Pilot Plant Technician at Cargill, and an undergraduate researcher at the University of Minnesota, where skills in quality systems, process development, and analytical techniques were honed. Educational qualifications comprise a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, along with a high school diploma from Rockford High School.
